At The Cave we host climbing competitions a few times a year for all of our members and local climbers. These are suitable for all climbing abilities and are an opportunity for climbers to battle it out for some exciting prizes as well as get a taste for competitive climbing.
Competitions are held in two categories, Top Rope climbing and Bouldering. Within both categories climbers are separated into levels.

Everyone is welcome to come and spectate and cheer the climbers on!
Each climber will do a total of 8 climbs and receive 100 points for completing a route. Climbers are given a second attempt to complete routes. Additional points are given for completing routes on the first attempt.
This competition consists of 15 boulders per level, with 2 levels of problems. Climbers score points by topping problems, with more points awarded to harder problems and reaching bonus holds.
